Salvador Dalí lived from 1904-1989.  He studied art in Madrid and Barcelona, Spain.  He traveled to France in 1928, where he met Pablo Picasso and Joan Miró.  He is known for his eccentric personality, and is considered to be the greatest artist of the Surrealist movement.
